This talented 25-year-old singer is one of a kind. Singing since the age of five, Nathan’s first performance was before a crowd of over 3000 spectators; and in 1996 Nathan appeared on the cover of Billboard magazine with the late New Orleans Gospel Great Raymond Miles and the Rams.
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans forever changing the lives of Nathan and his family forcing them to move to a new area where Nathan’s father Elder Flint Gros was involved in a car accident in the fall of 2006. Elder Gros passed away in February 2007 as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Nathan was just 11 years old when he lost his father but was more determined than ever to uphold he and his father's love for music and to make his father’s dream of Nathan becoming a recording artist come true. Nathan later performed at the annual Full Gospel Conference in Atlanta for over 30,000.00 people in tribute to his father, a well-known voice in the Full Gospel Community.
Nathan is well known at the “Choice International” and “Judah Academy” Schools of music, where he stood out, because of his vocal ability. He maintained a 3.0-grade point average and was named best student of the year in both his '06 & '07 school year. He later went on to participate in the summer sessions of One Vision One Voice LLC., which awarded the opportunity for Nathan to later develop his own sense of entrepreneurship. Nathan later went on to establish his own business by the name of “Simply Singing”. Nathan now teaches his own summer courses, where he now trains young adults from the ages of 18 to 35 in vocal technique and performance training. Nathan went on to graduate from Lake Area New Tech. Early College High School, achieving multiple awards and accolades including, acknowledgements such as “Most Talented”, and “Most Likely to Succeed” and was awarded scholarships for his achievements in academia and his performance ability. Nathan later went on, in the fall of 2013, to study at Dillard University, studying in “Music” with a concentration in “Vocal Performance” with the great S. Carver Davenport.
Since then, Nathan has had the wonderful opportunity to perform on stages and events such as the “Jazz Heritage Festival”, “The Essence Festival”, American Idol [Season 14] (top 75), Nathan has sung The National Anthem for several major sporting events in New Orleans, Louisiana namely: The New Orleans Hornets vs. the L. A Lakers and Game 2 of the NBA Western Conference Playoffs for the Hornets vs. San Antonio Spurs. Nathan has shared the stage with various artists such as the illustrious Williams Murphy, Jazmine Sullivan, Bishop Paul S. Morton, James Fortune, Harry Connick Jr., Erykah Badu, The Roots, and Kim Burrell just to name a few. His voice is one you will remember forever.
Nathan is truly one of the smoothest, most romantic singers at this time. His vocal range is broad and colorful and can be compared to no one. He is undeniably one of the best of his time.
